2016 Summer Opportunities Fair For the past eight years, Autism Tennessee has hosted a Summer Opportunities Fair in the early spring to provide a comprehensive venue to share recreational and other summer opportunities with the autism and disability communities. Whether you participated last year (thank you!) or are hearing about this for the first time, I would like to invite you to participate in the 9th Annual Summer Opportunities Fair: Resources for the Autism and Disability Community. We are excited to be hosted at the Nashville Church of the Nazarene this year. The Fair will be held in “The Mall” on February 25, 2016 from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. Participation is FREE to providers and attendees. Last year, 35 resource providers joined Autism Tennessee in person and over 30 additional programs provided information to over 120 participants. This year, we are expecting the same number of individuals, programs, and agencies to participate, sharing recreational, research, and summer opportunities for the autism and disability community. This Fair is an important avenue for individuals with disabilities and their families to gather information that otherwise could be difficult to locate. It also provides an opportunity for networking between resource providers and the disability community.
