Understanding Early Development in Baby Siblings of Children with Autism
Would you like to help us learn more about younger siblings of children with autism? We would love to talk to you …..
• If you are the parent of a child with autism
• If your child with autism has a younger sibling who is 12-18 months old
• If you would like more information about your younger child’s development
All participants come to the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center for a series of assessment appointments, every 3 months over a 9-month period. All younger siblings receive standardized developmental testing, psychological assessment for autism, and a formal written report of testing results, including recommendations and referrals at no cost. Some parents receive training in strategies to use at home with their children.
