Autism Safety for Families and Persons with ASD

"Autism Safety for Families and Persons with ASD" will include a 90 minute training with lecture, videos, and scenarios; and will conclude with a 30 minute Q&A.

​T​he following ​important ​topics​ will be discussed ​during the training session for families and individuals affected by ASD​ of all ages​.​

  • Wandering and Elopement
  • Internet Safety
  • Contact with Law Enforcement
  • Safely Disclosing ASD to First Responders

These are really the Big Four concerns for most families affected by ASD. These four topic areas will be broken down even further to discuss the proactive vs. the reactive approach to each.

The training will provide useful tips, strategies and tools that individuals can quickly implement to help provide clarity, understanding, and context to any contact with law enforcement.
