At AutismTN, we value and appreciate all our volunteers!
Together, we work towards a more inclusive and supportive community.

Join us today to make a difference!
We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities to suit your interests and availability:

Program Volunteers
Become a part of our Self-Advocate and Spectrum Families Programs, including Connect, Game Day, The Spectrum Connection (TSC), Unveiling Autistic Identity (UAI), WENBY, and our Spectrum Families groups. Spend 3-4 hours each month assisting our dedicated staff in event setup, participant check-ins, and facilitating meetings. Your contribution ensures these programs run seamlessly.

Ambassadors
Are you a passionate advocate for the autism community? Join our team as a Community Ambassador or College Ambassador and represent AutismTN in your local area. You'll spread the word about our programs and services, provide essential information and connect individuals, families, and communities to our organization.

Special Event Volunteers
Are you ready to bring the party to life? Join us for our exciting special events, including the Birthday Bash and AfterBash in April, or the Pajama Walk & 5k in September. Help us create unforgettable experiences and support our mission.

Administrative Volunteers
Put your organizational skills to good use! Assist us with occasional tasks such as packet stuffing and office organization. These opportunities are best for those that want to help out but have limited availability.  We will contact you as needs arise; this could be once a quarter or once a year. Your efforts help keep our operations running smoothly.

Peer Mentors (coming soon)
Lend your unique perspective and support individuals newly understanding and embracing an autism diagnosis. As a mentor, you have the opportunity to positively influence those exploring autistic identity by offering insights, resources, and guidance rooted in your personal journey. Join us in creating an affirming space where every Autistic person feels valued and understood.

*Please note, background checks are required for any volunteer who will have direct interaction with the individuals and families we serve.
