Self-Advocate Community Groups Advocacy Meeting with Jeff Strand, Policy Director for the Tennessee Disability Coalition

Join us on Wednesday, January 29th, 2025, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for a special AutismTN Self-Advocate Community Group Advocacy Meeting featuring Jeff Strand, Policy Director for the Tennessee Disability Coalition.

In 2024, AutismTN's Self-Advocate Community Groups became an affiliate of the national Autistic Self-Advocacy Network (ASAN), enhancing our advocacy efforts and extending our reach as we work together to influence policies that impact our community.

This hybrid meeting will take place at the Tennessee Disability Coalition and via Zoom, offering participants the chance to engage with Jeff Strand about key advocacy opportunities and issues ahead of Tennessee Disability Day on the Hill (DDH) 2025.

Scheduled for March 11, 2025, DDH 2025 is a powerful opportunity to unite as the Tennessee disability community under the 2025 theme "Liberty. Not Limits."

Together, we’ll explore the challenges facing our community and develop a strategy to advocate for legislation that removes societal barriers so they no longer restrict our liberty to live a life of our choosing.
