Event Description:

The Spectrum Experience and Internet Safety and Cyberbullying will provide parents, teachers, and caregivers with the necessary tools to teach family members and students how to stay safe while they are online.

Presented by:

Monica McLaurine is an Author, Motivational Speaker and Life Coach. Monica is an energetic, dynamic and transparent speaker. She has conducted workshops throughout the country on the subject of bullying. She has also shared her personal testimony on overcoming self-esteem and weight-loss issues. Her topics cover self-esteem, self-love, self-encouragement and self-empowerment. She has shared her powerful story at business conferences, social conferences and church conferences alike with her engaging style all her own. Monica is the author of two books Becoming Comfortable In My Own Skin: The Journey to Loving Me and her latest title I Told My Kid to Fight Back: Examining Generational Differences In Bullying Yesterday and Today. Her hope with her latest book is to initiate healthy conversations about bullying between students, parents, school personnel and other youth serving individuals. She is hopeful by taking a closer look at the generational differences on how bullying is/was handled; it can bridge the gap of trust and start working on solutions to this ever-present problem. A native of Nashville, Monica has a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a concentration with Juvenile Justice from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Monica is a current partner of Watson Grove and in her spare time Monica loves to spend time with family and friends, travel, exercise and shop.

Workshop Goals:
